This calibration date is currently only available in North America. 89Zr is particularly suitable for PET imaging of internalizing mAbs. 89Zr-immuno-PET can offer excellent sensitivity and accurate quantification of mAbs or mAb-fragments in pre-clinical in vivo models. 89Zr's physical half-life of 78.4 hr matches the biological half-life of a mAb, as well as the time it needs to perfectly reach optimal target-to-non-target ratios. Literature suggests that PET image quality is not disturbed by the decay of this residualizing isotope.
