Environmental Testing Solutions

Air, water, and soil testing.
For a safer planet.

Contract testing laboratories and governmental agencies, worldwide, are trusted for their critical analysis of the toxins, pollutants and microplastics that continually encroach into our water, air, and soil.

By empowering this critical analysis, our expertise positions us at the forefront of environmental testing including; helping laboratories monitor drinking and surface water for contaminants including new emerging contaminants like microplastics, enabling the detection of the smallest concentrations of soil contaminants and unknown pollutants and collaborative initiatives with the EPA to develop methods and monitoring protocol for identifying emissions, ozone precursors, and air toxins.

Innovation in Environmental Monitoring

For the first time in history, scientists at the University of South Carolina’s Center for Environmental NanoScience and Risk (CENR) have precisely quantified the uptake of metal nanoparticles by individual cells. Doing so has allowed researchers to better understand nanotoxicity and its effect on our environment.

Customer Testimonial

Innovation in Drinking Water

When water is a limited resource, ingenuity is essential. The highly regarded Orange County Water District (OCWD) is no stranger to being innovative to help sustainability in their community. OCWD takes the wastewater from the Orange County Sanitation District next door and treats it to drinking water standards. In fact, with the help of a PerkinElmer NexION® 2000 ICP-MS they test for 500 compounds, well beyond the required amount, and participates as one of the only certified public laboratories in the Unregulated Contaminant Monitoring Rule (UCMR) program.

Melissa Hill, Supervising Chemist at OCWD, shares her insights on the innovative drinking water resource management and treatment work occurring at OCWD and how the PerkinElmer team helps deliver clean drinking water to Orange County.
